NJ Assembly Unanimously Passes Bill Requiring Public Hearings Before Beachfills

By a vote of 80 to 0, the NJ Assembly unanimously passed a bill that
would require a public hearing before any beach replenishment project goes forward. The bill, which passed the full Senate already, now moves to the Governor’s desk for signature.

This is another step in the right direction to help make our opinions of beach replenishment known. We need to start being proactive instead of reactive when it comes to preserving our beaches. Keep off the dunes and volunteer to plant dune grass whenever you see an opportunity.
